Note: This is the quickest way to start making a mosaic. This document will not teach you about all of Micaic's features so you should also read the Documentation.html file which should deal with everything you ever wanted to know about Micaic. Micaic supports Balloon Help so if you need a quick answer to a question, just turn it on under the Help menu.
1. Open up Micaic and click "Not Yet" when the request for registration comes up.
2. Click on the "Scan Folder" button in the window titled "Untitled Collection".
3. Select your Hard Drive.
4. If you get tired of waiting for Micaic to finish scanning your Hard Drive press Command+.(period).
5. Press the "Remove Duplicates" button.
6. Select "Make Mosaicﾉ" under the File menu.
7. Click "Select Picture" in the "New Mosaic" window.
8. Choose a picture that you want to turn into a mosaic. (I suggest that the picture be no bigger than 150 pixels X 150 pixels, because if it is, it will take a long time to complete your mosaic and Micaic might run out of memory.)
9. Leave the other options the way they are, and click "Create".
10. Sit back and watch the show. (The "X" that will appear on your mosaic is there because you have not yet registered.)
